Pet Sitters vs. Boarding

By May 7, 2018July 7th, 2023No Comments

It is always stressful when you have to go out of town and are unable to take your furry family member with you. A better option then large boarding facilities is to help keep them relaxed and comfortable by keeping them at home and hire an awesome pet sitter. Pets are happier and experience less stress at home since they are in a familiar place. Another benefit of hiring a pet sitter is that diet and exercise routines are kept consistent. A third benefit of a pet sitter is that exposure to illnesses is minimized.

There are two options for pet sitters. One can get a petsitter who can drop in during the day to walk/clean the litter boxes, and feed and play with your pet; and second option is that petsitter can stay overnight. Depending on your pet, pet sitter can come in a couple times per day. If they are already used to being alone during the day while you are at work they adjust to pet sitter very well. If you work from home or your furry family member has medical needs, it may be best to have someone stay at your house while you are away. It is important to know a pet sitter is bonded and insured. Here are some pet sitters that are good to try
